Jerry Kent Keating Sr. passed away Sept. 18, 2015.Jerry was born Aug. 11, 1944, in Brownwood, Texas, to Barney and Alta Keating. Jerry's family lived in Mullin, Texas, at that time with family moving to San Angelo when Jerry was five. Jerry grew up in the Lake View area with his two brothers, Gail and Dean. On March 9, 1962, Jerry married Janice Baker a runaway trip to Mexico. They have shared 53 years of love, fun and work. Two sons made their union complete, Jerry Kent Jr. and Troy.
Preceding Jerry in passing were his parents; two brothers, Gail Douglas and Harold Dean; and his beloved son, Kent. Surviving Jerry is wife Janice; devoted son Troy; very special daughter-in-law Melissa; three grandchildren, Kimberly Keating, Corey Keating and Megan Keating; and great-grandchildren Parker, Bryson and Tinley Havercroft. Also surviving are sister-in-law Pat Keating; nephews Terry, Bill and Rick Keating; and niece Trish Flannagin.
Jerry's trade was auto-body and painting business, working side-by-side with his wife and son. Jerry enjoyed many years of fishing, hunting, gardening and golfing.

Pallbearers will be nephews Bill, Rick and Terry Keating; and special friends Guy Scott, Jay Jones and Mike Harrison. Special thanks to a family friend Ben Maness.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals for the Elderly.
