James K. Eaton, Sr. was born in Mexia, TX on January 1, 1925 to Francis and Lillie Maude Eaton. He passed from this earthly home at 10:50 p.m., September 6, 2015 at Sagecrest Care Center. James served his country in the United States Air Forces as a pilot during World War II and the Korean War. He was also an EAA member. He was a Masonic Worshipful Master member and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he was in the Melody Maker choir. James worked as a pipeline patrol pilot for forty years. He was also in the BRC Auxiliary.
He graduated from East Mountain High School in Gilmer, TX. He lived in Houston, Lubbock, Ranger, Andrews and San Angelo where he resided at Baptist Retirement Community.
James is survived by his loving wife of seventy years, Jean Lavelle Eaton of San Angelo; sister, June Tise and husband David of Houston; brother, Glen Eaton and wife Kitty of Bullard; daughter, Janeene White and husband James of Orange; sons, James K. Eaton, Jr. of San Angelo, Jerry Eaton and wife Kris and John Eaton and wife Mary all of Lubbock; grandchildren, Jamey White, Joel White, Melissa Marquez, and Mark Eaton; great-grandchildren, Luis, Gabriel, Lillie, Kaelyn, Morgan, Gavin, Amy, Emily, Janae, Hunter, Austin and Ethan and great grandchildren, Luke and Alba.
