Suzanne Marie Zentner, 55, of San Angelo, Texas passed away peacefully on August 23, 2015 in her home, surrounded by her loving family, following a long illness.
Suzanne was born April 1, 1960 in San Angelo to Theresia Breitbach Zentner and the late Joe F. Zentner. She was a happy child, attending the Gingerbread House Kindergarten School at the age of 3 ½, then Holy Angels Catholic Elementary School, John Glenn Jr. High, and graduated from Central High School in 1978. In the fall of 1978, she moved to Lubbock, Texas and attended Texas Tech University where she graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in German and French. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority where she held the position of Secretary.
During her time at Texas Tech she took summer courses with her profession and friends at Wien, Austria and travelled through Europe, visited her grandmother and relatives in Germany. In 1984 she moved to Dallas where she joined the Law Firm of Haynes and Boone. Later, in 1986, Suzanne had to move home with her mother because the MS had progressed! Her deep faith and love for God carried her through her disease for many years. She faithfully attended the Christian Church of San Angelo for over 20 years. With deep appreciation to the friends of her church who helped her so much over the years, we thank you.
She is survived by her mother Theresia (Terrie Zentner); her beloved brother Felix John Zentner of Studio City, California; sister Laurel Jean Zentner-Johnson and husband Kerry of Hillsboro, Texas; auntie Millie Mueller of Long Beach, California; cousins: Betty Zentner-Sheffield of San Angelo, Karen and Bob Zentner and Dr. Christiane Hack with husband Gert and their son Konstantin of Heidelberg, Germany, and Peter Breitbach and wife Daniela and their daughter Fransiska of Munchen, Germany; and all of her numerous friends.
Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Greenwell officiating. Burial will follow Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Home. Pallbearers are John Burnett, Kevin O. Butler, Philip Gandy, Ferd Koehn, Dr. Chris Sloan, Mark Zentner, Dr. Scott Zentner, and Tomas Zentner.
Our special thanks goes to the wonderful caregivers over the years, most specially to Clauda and Christine.
