Jackie Darrell Glascock of Wall passed away on June 11, 2015 at his home.
Visitation will be held on Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home with the family present Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2015 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Services are under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home, 1939 Sherwood Way.
Jack was born on November 30, 1933 in Winters, Texas. He and his beloved wife, Charlyne, married on December 14, 1976. He worked for Producers for twenty-five years, retiring in 1996.
Jack was an avid horseman, he loved anything and everything about horses. In his younger years, he rode bareback broncs and bulls, even riding in Madison Square Gardens. He traded horses and was a horse shoer for many years. In his later years, he owned race horses and loved watching them run.
He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jack was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, in the good times and the bad. He was a member of the Hayrick Masonic Lodge and was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kathy Powers; a son, Bob Armor and his mother and father-in-law, Sara and Doyle Johnston.
Jack is survived by his wife, Charlyne; his children, Kim Canney and Brendi Gentry and husband, David, Randy Armor and Becky Armor; two grandsons that he raised as his own, Kevin Turner and wife, Brandi and Kelly Turner; brothers-in-law, Mike Johnston and wife, Donna and Kenny Johnston. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer and Casey, Talon, Kaitlyn and Ashley, and Melinda, Aimee, Julia and Justin; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
