Dorothy Faye "Dottie" Kozelsky, 87, of San Angelo passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 in San Angelo. She was born to the late, Thomas and Famie Garrett Sullivan on February 4, 1928 in San Antonio, Texas. Dottie married the love of her life, Julius Frank Kozelsky in September of 1969 in Ballinger, Texas. He preceded her in death in July of 1992. Dottie was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church of Wall. She was known as a "people person"; one who not only enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but had a gift for making everyone she came in contact with feel at home around her. Dottie's love of life and her giving nature will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Curtis Hahne, and Violet and Dwayne Smith; nieces and nephews, Timmy Hahne, Darrell Oehler, Donna Oehler, and Peggy Wendlock; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gertrude and Oscar Heinrich, Henrietta and Bernie Franke, Irene and Milton Braden, Joe Kozelsky, WWII Private, Henry Kozelsky, Robert Pohl, and Roy Schaefer.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Monday, June 1, 2015 in the Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in the St. Ambrose Catholic Church of Wall with Fr. Joe Choutapalli serving as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery of Wall. Doug Klepac, Henry Klepac, Rick Arrega, Kye Franke, Ray Culak, and Roy Schaefer, Jr will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Culak, Myron Braden, Fred Mueller, and Alex Mueller.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Nathene "Skeeter" and Elmer Oehler; numerous nieces and nephews who were very special to Dottie; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia "Ginny" and Edmund Klepac, Anita Schaefer, Georgie Mae Pohl, and Dorine Kozelsky; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Home of San Angelo.
