Kay Adams, 57, of Cleburne, Texas, went to be with the Lord, May 24, 2015, after a long illness.
She was born in San Angelo, Texas to Richard L. Gray Sr. and Jacquelyn L. Gray on October 31, 1957. She attended Robert Lee High School in Tyler, Texas. She received her degree in Respiratory Therapy from Tyler Junior College. Her career began as a respiratory therapist at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler and St Paul Hospital Dallas, Texas until she moved to San Angelo where she married Wesley E. Adams on January 30, 1982. They had two daughters, Elizabeth and Stephanie. She then returned to Dallas and continued her career as a respiratory therapist at St. Paul Hospital for several years. She later moved to Cleburne, Texas. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Cleburne where she was an active member of the church, where she served as volunteer and a youth teacher.
Kay is preceded in death by her mother, Jacquelyn L. Crawford and grandparents, Owen J. Gray Jr. and Jimmie M. Gray of San Angelo and Talley and
Adrian Crouch of Tyler, Tx.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth and husband, Chris Lenzini, grandchildren, Gunner, Violet, Brody, Ronan and daughter, Stephanie and husband, Drew Robbins and grandchild, Logan. Also her sister, Vicki G. Brockette, brothers, Richard L. Gray, Jr. and Jimmy S. Gray, and her father Richard L. Gray Sr. and as well as numerous other relatives.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home.
A Celebration and Memorial service for Kay will be held 10:00 am Saturday, May 30, 2015 at her church home, The First Christian Church of Cleburne. The family requests that any memorials be made to the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital and The Community Hospice of Burleson, Texas.
The family wishes to thank her many church friends of the First Christian Church of Cleburne and the Community Hospice of Burlesque, Texas and all of her caregivers that showed so much love to her in her time of need.
