Jesus "Jesse" Manuel Flores, 62, of San Angelo, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in San Angelo, surrounded by loved ones. He was born to the late, Manuel Garcia and Jeronima Rey Flores on Sunday, June 22, 1952 in Fort Stockton, Texas. Jesse married the love of his life, Linda Flores on September 4, 1977 in Imperial, Texas. He worked as a carpenter with the San Angelo ISD until retiring on December 31, 2014. He was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. Jesse was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He made countless football helmets for football fans across the country. He was known for his positive outlook, no matter what he was facing at the moment. He was a giving man who was outgoing and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. It has been said that once you met him, he made you love him. His biggest treasure in life, as he described them, is his family. He lived the phrase "family oriented". Jesse's love of life and laughter will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Alfredo Flores.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 PM, Sunday, May 17, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 18, 2015 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Fr. Innocent Eziefule will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, San Angelo. Robert "Guy" Alfaro, Johnny Ramirez, Roy Ramirez, Armando Flores, Freddy Flores, Jr., Jose Rubio, Michael Jimenez, and Josh Rubio will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Linda F. Flores; children, Becci DelaCruz (Donnie, Jr.), Christina Zaveleta, Jessica Flores, Michelle Saucedo (Rocky), Manuel Flores (Vanessa); grandchildren, Destiny, Donnie, III., Gabino, Beatrice, Xeena, Gabriel, Eduardo, Amanda, Oscar, Jr., Matthew, Jonathan, and Kristopher; grand dog, Max; 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Elvira Rodriguez, Armando Flores, Minnie, Ramirez, Linda Alfaro, Arcardio "Cario" Flores, and Arnulfo "Nupy" Flores; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
