Funeral mass for Catarino T. Villarreal, Jr., 51, were conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015 in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fa. Joey Forlano officiating. Burial followed in La Familia Alvarez Cemetery in Loraine with Deacon Frankie Aquirre officiating. A rosary was held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Chapel led by the Miles Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Villarreal passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in Dallas. He was born to Catarino T., Sr. and Bernalda Tijerina Villarreal on August 6, 1963 in Ozona. Cater married Margaret "Margie" Alvarez on July 2, 1988 in Colorado City. He worked as a banker for a number of years. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church of Miles and the Knights of Columbus. Cater was a loving, family man who enjoyed fishing and reading. He was known as a sports fanatic. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Cater was preceded in death by two infant siblings.
Survivors include his wife of almost 27 years, Margaret "Margire" Villarreal; children, Lori A. Montiel and husband, Carlos, Katrina M. "Katie" Villarreal, Nicholas S. "Nick" Villarreal, and Barbara M. Villarreal; one grandson on the way; parents, Catarino T., Sr. and Bernalda Villarreal; siblings, Vivian Casarez, Lupe McGuire and husband, Jesse, and Steven Villarreal and wife, Jennifer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
