We celebrate the life and legacy of an amazing man who was very work driven and proud of his Catholic Faith. He came to Texas at the age of 2 and later went on to join the Army and is a WWII Veteran were he was honorably discharged as an MP. He was married to the love of his life Consuelo Martinez for 64 years. He went on to become a man of many trades from Sheep Shearing to becoming a Master Carpenter where he started with Ralph and Charles Ivy. He went on to build many Gulf and EXXON stations all over Texas as well as Today’s convenience stores. He purchased the company which then became Garza Construction with his sons. After his Semi-retirement he worked with Glenn and Molly Poellhemus at the San Angelo Feed Yard in Miles, Texas.
He worked very hard to make a life for his family and to be successful in all that he did. He was very generous, kind and had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to tell stories of his adventures and could talk for hours. He leaves us with many fond memories, laughs and an emptiness that will be hard to fill. He loved his BINGO in his later years and lived a long and prosperous life. He was blessed by our God, as we were to have him here with us for 92 wonderful, loving and fulfilling years.
