Warren Allan Cornelius passed away on December 6, 2014 at a local nursing home with his wife at his side. Allan was born on February 2, 1928 and was 86 years old.
Allan farmed in the Miles, Texas area for many years and also served on the local school board. In later years, Allan started a locksmith business in San Angelo, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Leona Cornelius, who also farmed at Miles.
Allan attended school at the Klattenhoff School. He married Jewel Cornelius (nee McKee) on August 5, 1949 at the Methodist Parsonage in Miles. Allan was a member of the College
Hills Baptist Church in San Angelo.
Allan is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jewel Cornelius, son, Wayne Cornelius of Seminole, Texas, daughter, Rita Hayes of Carrollton, Texas, grandson Wes Hayes and wife April and two granddaughters of Boerne, Texas, a sister, Erlene Springer of San Angelo, Texas and a half -brother Lynn Cornelius and his wife Karen of Deer Park, Texas.
Funeral arrangement made by Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo. A graveside service will be held at Miles Cemetery on Tuesday, December 9th at 2 pm.
