Ornelas Robert Louis "Louie"

Robert Louis "Louie" Ornelas, 58, of San Angelo went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 4, 2014 in San Angelo. The Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M., - 8:00 P.M., Sunday, at Johnson's Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Monday, December 8, 2014 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Richardson officiating. The Graveside Service will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 8, 2014 at Valley View Cemetery in Robert Lee, Texas. Louie was born September 17, 1956 in San Angelo, Texas to Eulalio and Lucinda Sanchez Ornelas. He grew up in San Angelo on Avenue Q and graduated from Central High School with the class of 1975 and also attended Angelo State University. His Stepfather Javier "Hoppy" Dominguez got him started in masonry work after high school. He worked for various masons in San Angelo eventually creating his own company Twin Arch Masonry which he owned and operated until his passing. Louie was a big man with a big heart and a tremendous love of people. He had a way of staying strong and faithful through all of life's circumstances and his positive energy was limitless. Louie also had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh with his family and friends. His passion was playing sports, especially football, softball, and golf. Everyone who played softball in the San Angelo leagues knew his abilities on the field. Louie also loved music, dancing, studying history and travelling but his greatest passion was his family. He married his soulmate Cathryn Rheana Pierce Flores on March 28, 2009 in San Angelo Texas. Together they blended a "Brady Bunch" family with much laughter and love. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and his memory will live on in our hearts forever. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Julia Garcia, Tina McDaniel, Daniel Ornelas, Thelma Aguirre, Lucy Ornelas, and Robert Ornelas. Louie is survived by his wife, Cathryn "Cathy" Ornelas, of San Angelo; his children, Robert Louis Ornelas II "Little Louie," Stephen Frank Ornelas and his wife Jessica, all of San Angelo, Oscar Ornelas and his fiancée Tiphany Orticke, of Austin, Chad Glidewell, of Dallas, Rheana Flores, of San Angelo and Daniel Flores, of Austin; his Grandchildren, Aden Ornelas and Ella Troncoso; his Brother, Arthur Ornelas and wife Rosario of San Angelo; his Sister, Jane Zuniga and husband Marty, of San Angelo. Louie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family members and close friends too numerous to mention. Pallbearers for the service will be Tommy Zamarripa, Mario Zuniga, Jr., Arthur Ornelas, Jr., Adam Reyes, Robert Louis Ornelas, II, and Jesse Diaz.
