Mary Elizabeth Stewart Fox "Nana", age 94, passed away Tuesday December 2nd, 2014. She was born November 13th, 1920 in Denison, Texas, to Cooper B. Stewart and Mattie Lanier Stewart. She moved to San Angelo while a toddler where she lived continuously, except for an 18 month period while Dub was serving in the US Navy during World War II.
She Loved the Lord and worked tirelessly throughout her life as a volunteer at Park Heights Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Carl "Dub" Fox; brothers, Jim Stewart, Joe Stewart, Walter Stewart and Alex Stewart; her sister, Vestal Stewart Thompson; and a Great Granddaughter, Lori Del Fox.
She is survived by one brother, Aubrey Stewart; a daughter, Nancy Fox Mobley and her husband Tom; a son, Wayne C. Fox and his wife Patsy; Grandchildren, Billy Carl Wimberley, John Wayne Wimberley, James Bryan Wimberley and wife Marla, Amanda K. Fox, William Cory Fox and wife Lindsay; Great-Grandchildren; Ryan Wimberley and wife Megan, Tyler Wimberley, Ella Mitchell Fox, William Cory Fox Jr. and Annie Blake Fox; Great-Great-Grandchildren; Jordan Wimberley and Jackson Wimberley and numerous nieces and nephews whom she cherished.
The family extends their gratitude to all of her caregivers at The Allison House.
Following a private interment at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, a Memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday December 6th, 2014 at the Heights Baptist Church, 4512 Sherwood Way, San Angelo, Texas with the Reverend James Miller officiating.
