Novella Mae Jones Dehnel, 93, of San Angelo and formerly of McCamey, Texas, died Sunday, November 23, 2014, and now lives in the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at Belmore Baptist Church with burial following at Belvedere Cemetery in San Angelo. Novella was born on April 13, 1921, in San Angelo to Richard Pierson Hobson Jones and Ruth Elizabeth Singleton Jones. She graduated from Water Valley High School on May 23, 1940. She married Raymond Paul Dehnel on September 15, 1942. They raised their seven children in a home that was centered on Jesus Christ instilling their love for the Lord into their children while living in Colorado City, Midland, and McCamey before retiring to San Angelo. Prior to her marriage to Raymond, Novella accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour as she came to realize her sinfulness and need for a Saviour. 2 Corinthians 5:21 "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." NKJV Novella is preceded in death by her father Richard Pierson Hobson Jones, her mother Ruth Elizabeth Singleton Jones, her brother Samuel Lee Jones, and her daughter Ava Ruth Wagner. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Paul Dehnel of San Angelo; her sister Floy Ray Tonne of San Angelo; daughter Fran Buchanan and husband Ken of San Angelo; daughter Martha Joyce and husband Ken of San Marcos, Texas; daughter Paula Holder and husband Doug of Kermit, Texas; son Richard Dehnel and wife Alice of Sundown, Texas; daughter Wanda May and husband Russell of Hamlin, Texas; and son Douglas Dehnel and wife Sharon of Kennedale, Texas. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. Additionally, two more great-grandchildren are expected, one later this week and the next one in May 2015. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Belmore Baptist Church for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering in memory of Novella.
