Wilma Spring passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 20, 2014 at Meadow Creek Nursing Home, at the age of 96. She was born June 14, 1918 in Highland, Kansas to Boyd and Pearl Pierson.
She was married to John Robert Spring on October 10, 1936, in St. Joseph, Missouri. They lived in several places during their marriage, among those Uvalde, Batesville and San Antonio. Bob passed away in 1991 after which Wilma moved to San Angelo and later moved to Rio Concho Retirement Home.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Spring, brothers-in-law Jake (Mary), Earl (Agnes), Herb (Jenny) and nephew Kip Spring, her sisters Annabelle (Milton) King, Julia Byrd and brother Donald, and niece Judy Sutton.
She is survived by her sons Brad (Linda) of San Angelo, Doug (Dru Ann) of Uvalde, Melanie (Jeff) Medlin and Lisa Purdy of Houston. Grandsons: Douglas Spring of Grand Junction, Colorado, Ryan (Sara) Spring of Midland. Great grandsons: Easton and Sutton King, Hunter Medlin and Kyle Purdy. Graveside service will be held at 1:00p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Uvalde, Hillcrest Cemetery.
