Daniela Rushing Clark, beloved mother, girlfriend, Gigi, sister, and friend, made the transition from this life to be with her heavenly Father on October 29, 2014, at the age of 51. Over the last five years, she was a warrior in her fight against ovarian cancer. Daniela fought with a spirit of determination and courage to be healed.
Daniela was born on August 8, 1963 in Littlefield, Texas to Epimenia "Pepper" and Joseph Rushing.
Daniela loved being with her family, friends, and most importantly her grandson. She was strong willed, fun, loving, and always positive. Daniela looked for the good in everyone. She devoted her life to God, her boyfriend, daughter, grandson, and friends. Daniela dedicated and worked thirty one years at Verizon. During these years many lifelong friendships were made.
A Celebration of Life is at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with Derrick Campbell officiating.
Survivors include her boyfriend, Adam Russell and son, Austin; daughter Brittney Prince and husband Matthew; grandson Blake; two sisters, Debra Rushing, Denise Hamilton and husband Terry; niece Ashley Rogers and husband Bill; and many close and special friends that were dedicated to supporting her through these trials. The Lord led them to her and gave them guidance in their support for her and her family.
Daniela was preceded in death by brother Joseph Rushing, III and mother Pepper Rushing Martinez.
She will be greatly missed but her spirit will live in our hearts forever.
