Harvey Glenn Englert, passed away October 10, 2014 at Senior Care of Meadow Creek at the age of 78. Harvey has been relieved from his suffering and pain from ALS/ Lou Gehrig's Disease for a better place with his heavenly Father.
Graveside Services with Military Honors and Burial will be at 11:00 AM, Monday October 13, 2014 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Service will be given by longtime friend, hunting partner, and coffee buddy, Doyle Lovell. Please dress casual.
Harvey was born November 10, 1935 to August Englert and Lydia Bolf Englert. Born and grew up on a farm near Van Court, Texas. Graduated from San Angelo High School in 1954. Harvey then enlisted in the U.S. Army serving two years, upon his return he began his career working with TxDot and retiring in 1993 with 36 years of service. Win or lose always a big fan of the Texas Rangers, and the Dallas Cowboys. One of his fondest memories was the deer/ elk hunting trip to Colorado with his best friend Doyle Lovell. Harvey was a Catholic by faith.
He is survived by wife Patty of 55 years, married on October 10, 1959, son Todd and grandson Dayton of San Angelo, daughter Paula Doyle and husband Jerry and grandsons, Cody and Jonathan of Round Rock, sister Arlene Hoelscher and husband Jerry of St. Lawrence, Texas, and sister in-Law Jo Ann Englert of Lima, New York. The other loves of his life are dogs Jake(deceased) and Daisy. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, August and Lydia Englert and brother Duane Englert.
