Margaret Bryan Black, 91, of San Angelo, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 24, 2014, in Abilene, Texas. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at St. Luke United Methodist Church in San Angelo with Rev. Bill Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Rockwood Cemetery in Rockwood, Texas. Margaret was born April 27, 1923, in Rockwood, Texas to Thomas Samuel and Fannie Fern Whetstone Bryan. She worked at Dillard's Department Store for over 27 years in San Angelo. Margaret was a loving and wonderful mother, special "Gram" and best friend who had an incredible strength and faith in the Lord. She enjoyed life, loved spending time with her grandchildren and always went out of her way to make everyone she knew feel special. Margaret cherished her grandchildren and thought they were the most precious grandchildren in the world! She was the epitome of strength and love and we will cherish her memory in our hearts forever. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Bryan; and her son, Gary Black. She is survived by her loving daughters, Elaine Storm of San Angelo, Jan Hanna and her husband, Roger of Novice, Texas and Peggy Black of San Angelo; her grandchildren, Shauna and Corey Owens of San Angelo, Bryan and Brityn Black of San Angelo, Nicole and Mike Deans of Frisco, Texas, Nathan Storm of San Angelo, Phoebe Thomerson of San Angelo, Justin Hanna of Portland, Oregon and Lacee and Austin Brown of Stephenville, Texas; her great-grandchildren, Carson Owens, Slater Storm, and Darby and Dristyn Deans; and numerous extended family and close friends she held dear to her heart. Pallbearers for the service will be Justin Hanna, Austin Brown, Bryan Black, Corey Owens, Miles Miller, McCade Miller and Mike Deans. The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks and appreciation for all of the love, support and care given to Margaret, especially all of her precious grandchildren, close friends and family and all of the caregivers at Hendricks Hospice.
