Ralph Eugene "Gene" Williams passed away on April 8, 2014 in Robert Lee, TX.
Gene was born to Robert and Gertrude Williams on June 7, 1932 in Loco, TX. The family soon moved to Eola where Gene would grow up. In 1951 Gene enlisted in the United States Air Force serving as a staff sergeant stationed in Alaska until he was honorably discharged in 1954. When Gene got home he went to work for GTE and eventually became the division manager of communications at DFW airport. Gene was a lifelong Christian and was a member of West Angelo Church of Christ.
Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Gertrude Williams, Vida Lois Killam, niece Carol Fisher, nephew Bob Killam, niece Shannon Bennett.
Mr. Williams is survived by two daughters Kitty Richardson of Fort Worth, and Mindy Branaman and husband Leonard of San Angelo; three grandchildren Jennifer Burgess, Rachael Ramirez, and Ty Branaman; two brothers Dr. Lyal Williams and wife Joyce of Houston, and Dr. Robert Williams and wife Lynne of Killeen; five nieces and nephews Kay Longest, Don Killam, Kelly Williams, Meg Davis, Evan Williams.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday April 10, 2014 at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Scooter McCurdy with music by Wes James, a graveside service to follow at 2:00 P.M. at Eola Cemetery.
