Mary Lou Wilson, 81, of San Angelo, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 9, 2014. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 14th, at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with Stephen Emmons officiating. Interment will follow in Belvedere Cemetery. Mary was born in Colorado City, Texas on October 27, 1932 to Lucille McAdams Carter and J.B. Carter. She married the love of her life, W.C. Wilson, Jr., on November 13, 1954. Together they spent many years raising their two sons Gerry and Jay. She worked as a homemaker and side by side with her husband W.C. to build a surveying business for 50 years known as Wilson Land Surveying, Inc. Known as MawMaw or Nanna by her beloved grandchildren. She devoted herself to her grandchildren and loved spending many hours and weekends teaching them many fun things and making wonderful memories, but most of all about our loving God. She was known as a good listener and had a way of making them all feel "special". Mary was an avid artist and enjoyed spending time painting pictures and chalking portraits. Mary was a devoted Christian woman and gave so much to so many in need. She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church. She will be dearly missed by so many.
She is preceded in death by her husband W.C. Wilson Jr.; her parents, J.B. Carter, Lucille Carter Price; and stepfather, Clark Price; brother, J.W. Carter; and stepbrother, Jesse Price.
She is survived by brother, Edson Carter and sister JoAnn Lindsey; sons, Gerry Price and wife Sherry, Jay Wilson and wife Nancy; grandchildren, Traci Majors and husband Brent, Christal Price, Lawrence J. Wilson, Holly Thurman and husband Steve, Jeremy Wilson and wife Nicole, Hunter Price and wife Jennifer, Dawn Torres and husband Adrian; 14 Great-Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Special thanks to Dr. Anderton and Staff, Sagecrest Alzheimers Unit and Staff, Charles Ridgeway and Gina Vance, hospice nurses Tanya Solsbery and Janet Henson.
Pallbearers will be Bill Sedwick, Peyton McCone, Hunter Price, Steve Thurman, Brent Majors, and Adrian Torres. Honorary Pallbearers are Tom Houston, Jim Johnson, Bryan Boyd, Roy Dale Martin, Bart Johnson, and Freddie Coburn.
