Minnie Martinez, 71 of San Angelo, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at her residence. Minnie was born on January 16, 1942 in Ballinger, Texas to Marcario and Elvira Reyes Martinez.
Rosary service will be 7:00 p.m. at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Sacred Heart Cathedral with Fr. Patrick Akpanobong officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Minnie will forever be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Friend and Neighbor. Her vitality, energy and love of life was cherished and admired by all she met. We are all saddened by her unexpected passing and will dearly hold her memory close to our hearts. Please join us in prayer that the Lord will care well for her loving soul until we meet again.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son Eddie R. Lopez, Jr. and wife Marylisa and their children Eddie R. Lopez, III, and Sara Monique Lopez, all of Austin, TX; daughter Lera Lopez Wroblewski and husband Jason and their children Casey Marie, Alina Grace and Haley Grace Wroblewski, all of San Angelo; and sisters Carolina Pedroza of Ft. Worth, TX, Lucy Gutierrez of New Mexico, and Maria Martinez of Del Rio, TX.
