Charles William "Chi" Fowler, 84, of San Angelo passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at his residence.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM today, December 6th at Word of Life with Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Sanco Cemetery.
Charles was born December 2, 1929 in Sanco, TX to Samuel Joseph and Helen (Wyatt) Fowler.
Charles was an electrician for Concho Valley Electric Coop for 32 years. He became pastor of Way of the Cross Church for 17 years and then pastored numerous other churches in the area. He pastored for 27 years. He was very caring, helped many and baptized and married numerous people.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and son Dellwyn Fowler.
Charles was raised in Sanco where he met and married his childhood sweetheart Janice Eva Belle McCutchen in August, 1948 in Sanco, TX.
Charles was a very loving and caring brother, Husband "Soul Mate", father and grandfather who devoted his life to his family and he will dearly be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife Eva Fowler of San Angelo; children Larry Flower and wife Barbara of Robert Lee, Ricky Fowler and wife Vickie, Chira Oravetz and husband Max, Danny Fowler, Terry McCracken and wife Sandy all of San Angelo, Evana Figueroa and husband Micky of Bend, OR, Twyla Oliver and husband Andy, Johnny Fowler, Thana Fowler all of San Angelo, Charlie Fowler, Jr. and fiancée Jenny of Midland and Treva Hernandez of San Angelo; 33 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother Waddy Fowler and wife Mary Ann of Hillsboro, TX; sisters, Sammie Joe Baker and husband Ronnie, Patricia Taft Clements and husband Jack and Janice Fowler all of Robert Lee and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to Vanessa Guevara, Josh Oravetz and numerous other family members along with the Interim Hospice Nurses for all their loving care.
