M. Olivia Trevino, 85, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in San Angelo. The Prayer service will be 7:00 P.M., Friday, December 6, 2013 at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel .
Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
Olivia was born December 17, 1927 in Palmira, Mexico to Mariano and Francisca Salazar Garza. Olivia grew up in Plamira and after dating her sweetheart for 5 years, Olivia married the love of her life Rodolfo G. Trevino on September 24, 1949 in Acuna, Mexico. In 1954, Olivia and Rodolfo moved to San Angelo where they made their home for the next 59 years. Olivia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family and friends.
She loved gardening and her precious cats. Olivia was so creative and was able to design flower arrangements and was a very creative artist. She also loved cooking for her family and friends. The biggest legacy she leaves behind to her family was her strong faith in God. She was an incredible prayer warrior and she embodied the Proverbs 31 scripture of a woman and "her children rise up and call her blessed."
Olivia was an incredible human being and her love and faith will live on in our hearts forever!
Olivia was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Rudy G. Trevino. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Rodolfo G. Trevino, of San Angelo; her children, Santa Pena and her husband Lorenzo, of Grand Prairie, Tx., Sylvia Rodriguez and her husband Daniel, of San Angelo, Jerry Trevino and his fiancée Jennifer Lively, of San Angelo and her daughter-in-law, Yvonne Trevino, of Dallas; her Grandchildren, Lianna Trevino, of Dallas, TX., Seve Trevino, of Salt Lake City, UT., Tara and Brandon Harston, of Dallas, TX., Diego Trevino, of Tampa, FL., Jeremiah Pena and his wife, Elizabeth, of Watauga, TX., Jason Pena and his wife Allison, of Grand Prairie, TX., Hector Martinez and his wife Stephanie, of San Angelo, Joshua Martinez, of Austin, TX; her Great Grandchildren, Sorin and Rileigh Pena, of Watauga, TX.,Celeste and Nate Martinez, of San Angelo and Nathaniel Pena, of Grand Prairie, TX; her Brother, Mario Garza and his wife Rosa, of Dallas, TX; her sisters, Lupia Solis, of Grand Prairie and Juanita Giron and her husband Raul, of Del Rio, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews and her precious cats Rebellion and Perla.
Pallbearers for the service will be Jeremiah Pena, Jason Pena, Hector Martinez, Joshua Martinez, Diego Trevino and Seve Trevino. The family woul d like to extend a special thanks and appreciation to the Staff at the Kidney Connection, West Texas Renal Care Center and Hospice of San Angelo for all of the loving care given to Olivia.
