Jose Santiago Uriegas III, Our Beloved Porky, was called to his Heavenly Home in the early morning hours of November 30, 2013. He was 49 years young. Porky was born March 3, 1964 in San Angelo, TX to Santiago G Uriegas Jr. and Alicia Ramirez.
He married Rose Troncoso on June 24 2011. They later had their marriage blessed by the church on October 20, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church in San Angelo, TX. It was a beautiful union.
He was our car genius, Our Master Mechanic. He had a love for classic cars, hot rods and drag racing. He had been employed as a truck driver for Blue Line Drilling. He proudly served his country in the Texas Army National Guard and was honorably discharged on April 24, 1991.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Santiago G Uriegas Jr.; Grandson, Alexander Cole Garcia; Paternal Grandparents, Santiago M & Paula G Uriegas; Maternal Grandparents, Fred & Josephine Ramirez and a cousin, Luis U. Ramirez.
He is survived by his wife, Rose T Uriegas. His Children, Nicole Uriegas Kemp, Santiago Rodriguez-Uriegas, Logan Uriegas, Rudy Munoz and wife Erika, Chon Munoz and wife Rosemary, Chris Munoz and wife Sarah, Monica Gonzales and husband Chris. His sister, Michele Uriegas Almaguer and husband Ricky, His brother, Norman R Uriegas and wife Laura. His mother, Alice R Lewis and husband Ardis. His 13 Grandchildren: Nicolas, Madison, Jaey, Ryan, Zayda, Jonah, Mariah, Mylee, Nathaniel, Micaela, Isaiah, Monique and Christopher. Brothers in law - Armando (Edna), Tony (Janie), Mario (Debbie), Ector (Teresa); Sisters in law - Julie (Terry), Dora, Leticia (Pablo). Numerous Nieces, Great- Nieces, Nephews, Great Nephews, Aunts, Uncle, Cousins and Many friends.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday December 6, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Rodney White officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors. Arrangements have been entrusted to Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Carrying Jose to his final resting place will be His Children; Santiago Rodriguez-Uriegas, Logan Uriegas, James Pena, Rudy Munoz, Chon Munoz, Chris Munoz, His nephew, Justin Uriegas and son in law, Chris Gonzales.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren who he referred to as his Jackwagons.
Memorials may be given to YMCA Gray Y football program or charity of your choice.
The family of Jose wishes to extend our sincere thanks to, Dr. John Cargile, Dr. Joe Wilkinson, Dr Anthony DeMory, Shannon ER Trauma unit and Shannon 6th floor nursing staff, especially Priscilla. Family also extends their sincere Thanks to the crew of Blue Line Drilling for all of their support.
