Joe “Pepio” Rivero 3rd, 37 of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Thursday November 21, 2013 at an area care center.

Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday November 24, 2013 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday November 25, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic church with Father Emilio Sosa, officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Pepio was born December 27, 1975 in San Angelo to Jose Antonio and Rosa Irene (Sotelo) Rivero Jr.  He graduated from Central High School.  He married Cristina Hernandez on March 6, 1999.   He loved his two sons; Adrian and Alex.  Pepio and his father co-owned Pepe’s Diner and Catering and the Santa Rosa Sport Arena. 

Pepio loved spending time with his family and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Pallbearers will be Abelardo Rangel, Raul Vielma, Victor Garcia Jr., Oscar Rivero, Henry Rivero, Mario Rivero, Javier Rivero Jr. and Armando Martinez Jr.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Jose Antonio Rivero Sr. and Francisca Rivero, uncle; Javier Rivero Sr. and a great grandmother; Lilia Sotelo. 

Survivors include his wife; Cristina Rivero, sons; Adrian and Alejandro Rivero, parents; Jose Antonio Rivero Sr. and Rosa Irene Rivero, sister; Laura Rivero, all of San Angelo, maternal grandparents; Gregorio and Rosalva Sotelo of Del Rio, uncles; Osvaldo Rivero and wife, Blanca of San Angelo, Arnuflo Rivero and wife, Magdalena of San Angelo, Luis Rivero and wife, Lena of Del Rio, Francisco Rivero and wife, Sonia of San Angelo, Alejandro Rivero of San Angelo and Henry Sotelo Sr. and wife, Estella of Del Rio, aunts; Martha Martinez and husband, Armando Martinez Sr. of San Angelo, Alma Garcia and Victor Garcia Sr. of San Angelo, Mary Caballero and husband, Rogelio of Ft. Worth, Nora Valencia and husband, Teodoro of Midland, Margarita Rivero of San Angelo, Patricia Pequeno and husband, Rodolfo “Rudy” of Laredo, Cecilia Barrera of San Marcos, mother in law; Velia Hernandez of Del Rio, sisters in law; Alejandra Rangel and husband, Abelardo of San Angelo and Ambar Hernandez of Del Rio and numerous cousins.
