Closings: San Angelo ISD Cancels Classes Wednesday Due to Worsening Weather Conditions

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Independent School District has canceled classes Wednesday because of deteriorating weather conditions.  

Here is the statement from the SAISD website: 

Due to anticipated worsening weather conditions throughout the morning and for the safety of our students and staff, all San Angelo ISD campuses and offices will be closed today, February 5, 2020. 

San Angelo is under a Winter Weather Advisory and the National Weather Service and local authorities are indicating icy road conditions. The safety of our students is our top priority.

All schools in the Concho Valley have delayed classes for two hours and some have canceled classes.  As of now, San Angelo, Veribest, Olfen and Blackwell have canceled classes for Wednesday.  

In addition, all city and county offices have delayed opening until 10 a.m.

No school today at Grape Creek, Christoval or Angelo State University. 

The Concho Valley Transit District is closed Wednesday. 

All Tom Green County offices are closed Wednesday. 

Carnival, Fairgrounds and Vendors Closed Wednesday.
