Kidnapper Fled San Angelo, Caught Near Weatherford. Victim Safe

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Juan Jose Morales, Jr., 33, who was wanted in connection to this morning’s Aggravated Kidnapping of Danza Nicole Valdez, 19, was apprehended a short time ago by the Parker County Sheriff’s Office during a traffic stop near Weatherford.  Valdez is reported safe.

During the investigation, information was developed, which led to the suspect vehicle being located in Parker County.  Detectives with the San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division have been working in concert with surrounding law enforcement agencies to relay information about this morning’s abduction.

At 7:26 a.m. this morning, police were alerted about a hail of gunfire and the mysterious kidnapping by a 33-year-old man of a 19-year-old girl. Police reported the two were dating. Police said Morales took off in a white, two-door pickup and was last seen driving northbound from E. 22nd St. and Dailey St. in northwest San Angelo. Police said Morales was armed and dangerous.
