Police Search for Armed and Dangerous Kidnapper and His 19-Year-Old Female Victim

SAN ANGELO, TX — At approximately 7:30 a.m., we learned there was a report of gunfire in the vicinity of 22^nd St. and Dailey St.

Police are holding a press conference at 9:55 a.m. and the subject will be an aggravated kidnapping.

Police said at 10 a.m. that a 33-year-old wanted man,Juan Jose Morales, Jr., who is armed and dangerous, kidnapped 19-year-old Danza Nicole Valdez. He is driving a white, two-door pickup and was last seen driving northbound from E. 22nd St. and Dailey St. in northeast San Angelo.

Update 10:12 a.m.

At 7:26 a.m., San Angelo police dispatch received a call reporting gunfire near the vicinity of E. 22^nd St. and Pecan, said San Angelo Police Department Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez.

“We received multiple calls,” she added.

When police arrived, they found and talked to one of the people who called dispatch, among others. They learned that a 19-year-old female was abducted and forced into a vehicle by 33-year-old Juan Jose Morales, Jr.

Morales is wanted on a warrant out of Travis County for a motion to revoke his parole. Gonzalez said he is armed and dangerous.

The kidnapper and victim were last seen by the witnesses headed northbound in a two-door white pickup.

The name of the victim is Danza Nicole Valdez, 19.

Police are seeking information about the whereabouts of Morales and Valdez. They ask if you have immediate, actionable information to not attempt to intervene, but to call 9-1-1 immediately.
