Aggravated Robbery Suspect Threatened CVS Employee with Knife for Prescription Pills

Since yesterday, 15 people were booked into the Tom Green County Jail. Out of those arrests, seven people had new complaints; one person had both a new complaint and an outstanding warrant; and, seven people were arrested solely on outstanding warrants.

One of the individuals booked on a new complaint, 28-year-old Christopher Salmon, was arrested yesterday for Aggravated Robbery and booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 10:45 p.m. He is the New Mexico man who displayed a knife and stole prescription medication from the CVS Pharmacy at 318 W. Beauregard (click here for original story).

Sgt. Cade Solsbery, public information officer for the San Angelo Police Department, said, at 6:50 p.m., officers responded to the original call and learned that an employee of CVS reported the suspect displayed a knife and demanded he be given prescription medication or he would kill the employee. The suspect then left the store with an undisclosed amount of prescription pills. The employee was not injured.

Officers were able to locate Salmon leaving the area on foot, and took him into custody without incident in the 400 block of W. Beauregard. Solsbery said they were able to locate Salmon quickly due to citizens pointing out his direction after leaving CVS.

Detective L. Dye responded to the call to conduct an investigation. At its conclusion, Salmon was transported to the Tom Green County Jail.
