DPS: Teen Killed in Foggy Crash on Wet Roadway

 

SNYDER – A teenager was killed and the 27-year-old driver was injured in a single vehicle crash in Snyder late Wednesday night on a rain slicked roadway during foggy conditions.  

Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Marc Couch says the crash was on SH 208, the 1200 block of College Ave. in Snyder.  

The investigation shows the driver, 27-year-old Adrian Miguel Aguilar of Snyder, was northbound on College Ave. in a 2007 Chevrolet pickup at 11:16 p.m. Wednesday.  The roadway was wet and foggy.  the pickup hydroplaned and left the roadway crashing into a fence and a pole. 

The passenger, Julian Alexander Garcia, 18, of Snyder, was killed in the crash.  He was pronounced deceased by Dr. Tanner Evans at 12:23 a.m. Thursday.  Aguilar was injured and transported to the hospital.  He is reported in stable condition.  Both men were wearing seatbelts.
