Elite Central Tracksters Head to Odessa for Area Meet

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo Central High School sends its student-athletes to the Area Track Meet in Odessa on Friday, April 21. After the ‘Cats finished second overall at their District track meet in Wolfforth last week, Central brings athletes in 11 different events to Area. The top four finishers in each of the meet’s events advanced to the Area track meet, where athletes will compete for spots at the Regional track meet in Arlington on April 28-29. 

Bobcats

  • High Jump - Jacob English
  • Long Jump - Alex Lindsay
  • Pole Vault - Rylee Mendoza
  • 4x100 meter relay - Colton Gossett, Jordan Weatherspoon, Landon Eubanks, and Tyler Hill
  • 4x200 meter relay - Jordan Weatherspoon, Andres Diaz, Landon Eubanks, and Tyler Hill
  • 4x400 meter relay - Christopher Banks, Jordan Weatherspoon, Andres Diaz, and Tyler Hill
  • 100-meter dash - Landon Eubanks, Colton Gossett
  • 200-meter dash - Alex Lindsay
  • 800-meter - Nathan Palos
  • 1,600-meter - Jamison Jurado, Angel Rodriguez
  • 3,200-meter - Jamison Jurado

The Ladies advanced student-athletes in nine different events after placing third in their district meet.

  • Pole Vault - Shawntiel Watson
  • Triple Jump - Mariel Harzke, Nevaeh Hearne
  • 4x100 meter relay - Madison Delarosa, Jace Jackson, Alyssa Delgado, and Caroline Steele
  • 4x200 meter relay - Emauri Vinson, Neveah Hearne, Alyssa Delgado, and Madison Delarosa
  • 4x400 meter relay - Naomi Bageant, Hanna Zwiebel, Madison Delarosa, and Taelye Self
  • 200-meter dash - Alyssa Delgado
  • 400-meter dash - Taelye Self
