WATCH: The Spirit of West Texas Jazz

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Along with four other great bands performing tonight at the Star-Spangled Banner Concert and Fireworks Show at the Bill Aylor Memorial Riverstage is the West Texas Jazz Orchestra. 

The 16 piece big band has been dazzling San Angelo and the Concho Valley with smooth jazz sounds from artists of today and yesteryear. 

Watch as Jim Bode, the leader and drummer of the West Texas Jazz Orchestra describes what it means to continue the legacy of jazz music in West Texas along with why July 3rd has been San Angelo's unofficial day to celebrate our nation's independence.
