SAN ANGELO, TX – The Power outages that were reported in North San Angelo around 10 a.m. this morning have been fixed.
Fred Hernandez with American Electric Power said power was disrupted at the North San Angelo substation bus, where all the transmission lines converge. The cause of the break is unknown, however, power should be restored since AEP crews fixed the problem just after 11:00 a.m.
Roughly San Angelo 7,800 customers in the north side of town were without power as result of the break.
UPDATE: Thursday, July 27 @ 12:00 p.m.
AEP said the transmission outage occurred at approximately 10: 20 a.m. this morning. The outage lasted approximately 30 minutes and left 7,500 customers without power.
AEP crews are still working to determine if any further repairs are needed.
