Fire Engulfs House in East San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS -- Shortly after a Kia exploded into flames on Houston Harte, the San Angelo Fire Department (SAFD) responded to a structure fire near the crossing of Ave S and Irving Street.

San Angelo Police Department's (SAPD) Public Information Officer, Tracy Gonzalez, stated that the responding firefighters were working to keep the flames contained to one structure. Fire Marshal Ross Coleman later added over a phone interview, that the cause of the fire is currently undetermined pending further investigation. 

Several fire engines responded to the scene and SAPD officers were on hand to block traffic. 

At this time, it is unknown if the house was occupied at the time of the fire.
