SAPD's LIDAR Results in 79 Written Citations

SAN ANGELO, TX - The San Angelo Police Department (SAPD) conducted a LIDAR (Light Imaging Detection and Ranging) operation today on Houston Harte and Loop 306.

Officer Tracy Gonzalez said officers worked the 2200 block of W. Houston Harte eastbound from 12:40 to 2:30 p.m. Officers also worked the 1500 block of W. Loop 306 westbound from 3:00 to 4:15 p.m. 
 
Gonzalez said a total of 76 citations and 9 warnings were issued overall. Here is the breakdown of those citations:
  • 59 citations for Speed
  • 3 citations for No Insurance
  • 14 citations for various other offenses
