The Kindred Hospice office will be blanketing San Angelo and the surrounding communities throughout August by distributing food collection bags and gathering donations for Project Dignidad’s Food Party as part of the company’s 12th Annual Food Drive, said a press release.
"Employees at the San Angelo office and their fellow employees around the country, part of the Kindred at Home family of healthcare, are placing the food collection bags at various healthcare facilities in their respective communities and will collect their 'harvest' during the entire month of August," said the release.
They are focused on beating their tally from last year, when the company's 11th Annual Food Drive yielded more than 838,000 pounds of goods for donation to charitable organizations across the country.
"As active members of the community, we know that food banks, pantries and other charitable organizations continue to face increasing demands for assistance," said Dollie Culver, RN, Executive Director. "Because we have great working relationships with area healthcare organizations and share their goal of a more healthy community, we think they are ideal partners as sites for food collection; we encourage all local healthcare providers to contact us for more information on how they and their employees can participate in this community effort."
Kindred Hospice provides a full range of hospice services to patients in Tom Green and surrounding Counties. The San Angelo office is an affiliate of Kindred at Home, one of the nation's leading providers of comprehensive home health and hospice services.
