Early Voting Favors Councilman Thomas & Changes to Police Chief

SAN ANGELO – Early voting totals seem to favor incumbent San Angelo City Council SMD-3 Representative Harry Thomas and changes to the qualifications of San Angelo Police Chief.

Early voting and absentee ballots show Thomas with 63 votes to challenger Michael LePak's 32.  That's 66.32% for Thomas and 33.68% for LePak.

Voter turnout seems to be very light in both early voting and in ballots cast on Election Day.

Early voters seem to favor the three propositions on the ballot to make changes to the job of San Angelo Police Chief.

Here are the results for early and absentee voting for the Propositions:

Proposition A:      FOR:  421 or 79.28%  AGAINST: 110 20.72%

Proposition B:      FOR 428 or 80.30%    AGAINST: 105  19.70%

Proposition C:      FOR 400 or 75.19%.    AGAINST: 132 24.81%

We will update this information as results are released.
