WATCH: 1st Annual Blessing of the Bikes

SAN ANGELO – The 1st annual Blessing of the Bikes sponsored by the San Angelo District of the Texas Department of Transportation took place Saturday morning at the Word of Life Church on S. Bryant Blvd. in San Angelo.  

Several motorcycle enthusiasts gathered at the church to participate in the blessing of the bikes and riders to kick off motorcycle riding season as the weather warms up and more riders hit the roads.

Four pastors prayed over the motorcycles at the event and there was special music and refreshments before the motorcycles headed out on the road.  

The event was held in conjunction with National Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month.

First??? Really, I’ve been riding for a long time, as most of you know. Have been part of 2 different motorcycle clubs. Come on , the first , maybe for this church and this parking lot, but definitely not the first for San Angelo, tx
