San Angelo Teen Injured in Accidental Shooting at Home

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A 17-year-old male was transported to Shannon Medical Center following an accidental shooting incident at a residence in San Angelo.

It happened on Friday, March 29, at around 9:55 p.m. in the 3400 block of Green Meadow.

The San Angelo Police Department reports that upon arrival, officers discovered the teen with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his shoulder. 

He was quickly attended to by the San Angelo Fire Department and transported to the hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigations reveal the gunshot was accidentally discharged by the teen's father while handling a firearm within their home. 

The SAPD's Criminal Investigations Division has taken over the investigation. 

Currently, no charges have been filed in connection to the incident.
