San Angelo Man Takes Plea After Being Caught with a 15-Year-old

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A San Angelo man accepted a plea deal on Monday. Despite being charged with felony child sex crimes, he will not see the inside of a jail cell.

According to court documents, on June 19, 2023, Jon Marc Guerra, 22, of San Angelo, pleaded guilty to sexual assault of a child. In exchange for the guilty plea, Guerra was sentenced to six years probation with a $2,500 fine.

Other terms in the deal were that Guerra must register as a sex offender for life annually and will have a protective order against his victim.

Guerra was accused of being in a sexual relationship for months with a 15 year old girl. At the time of his arrest, the victim was clear with officers that the two had sex on multiple occasions.
