San Angelo Creep Arrested for Posting Revenge Video

 

SAN ANGELO— A San Angelo man has been arrested for publishing intimate visual material of a woman he had recently dated.

Jacob Hernandez, 18, has been arrested and charged with publish or threaten to publish intimate visual material.

According to court documents, on June 5, 2023, one of two witnesses arrived at the Criminal Investigation Division, located at 301 West Beauregard to make a report of intimate visual material being publish on social media.

The witness said that on June 4, 2023, while at a residence in San Angelo, she began receiving multiple messages from friends and family regarding a sexual video of the victim on Instagram. She said that the video depicted the victim performing a sexual act on a male with her face exposed. She also stated that the account that posted the video belong to Hernandez due to his name being on the profile. There were also additional photos that were published on the social media account and Hernandez had allegedly continued to harass the victim all through social media.

The victim said she had received messages through her Instagram account telling her that Hernandez had created an account with his full name displayed and he was publishing an intimate video of her on the account. The victim said she saw this video and contacted Hernandez and told him to take it down as she did not give consent to publish the video.

The victim also told investigators that Hernandez continued to harass and embarrass her due to personal conflicts between the two.

A juvenile witness said she also received a message from a friend telling her that a video of the victim was circulating on social media. This witness said she saw the video and knew it was the victim as her face was published in the material. 

Authorities confirmed witness statements about the visual material. 

Hernandez was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on June 15, 2023, and charged with publish or threaten to publish intimate visual material, which in the state of Texas, is a state jail felony and carries a punishment of up to two years in prison and a possible fine of up to $10,000.

Hernandez is currently an inmate in the Tom Green County Detention Facility and is being held on $7,500 bond.
