Fugitive Prison Inmate Nabbed in Coleman

 

COLEMAN – Texas Department of Criminal Justice escaped inmate Trent Thompson was captured in Coleman, Texas at approximately 11:15 am Sunday.

Authorities reported Thompson was missing from the Formby Unit in Plainview, TX Saturday evening at 11:14 p.m..  

Thompson will now face felony escape charges. Local law enforcement and the Office of Inspector General assisted in the search and arrest.

On Saturday, The TDCJ reported it was searching for an escapee. Trent Thompson, 22 years old, was last seen at approximately 11:14 p.m. on Saturday, June 10 at the Formby Unit in Plainview, Texas. Thompson was convicted of three counts of aggravated robbery out of Taylor County and Coleman County as well as an aggravated assault on a public servant out of Coleman County. He was last seen wearing a white prison uniform.
