Suspect Arrested After Shooting Outside Houston Nightclub

 

HOUSTON— An irate woman shot another person in the chest after being removed from a nightclub in Houston Friday.

Around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023, Houston police working as security at the Club “Swagger,” located at 9880 Buffalo Speedway close to the I-610 Loop, forcibly removed a woman from the club.

After her removal, the woman returned as the club was closing and customers were leaving when the woman pulled a gun and shot twice in the air and six times at the windows of “Swagger”. One shot hit a 30-year-old victim in the chest. The shooting victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition but is expected to survive.

The woman suspect drove off in her truck on South Main Street and according to a Harris County sheriff’s deputy, stopped in a parking lot. The deputy was able to catch the woman and arrest her. The suspect’s identity has not been revealed.
