Arrest for Theft from a Job Site Tops Saturday Bookings

SAN ANGELO  –  Tom Green County Detention Center Corrections Officers booked 18 suspects into jail in the last 24 hours on a variety of charges including Failing to Yield the Right of Way to an Emergency Vehicle, Copper Theft, and Driving While Intoxicated.

41-year-old Apolinar Barquera was arrested by Tom Green County Sheriff's Deputies for stealing copper tubing from a downtown San Angelo job site.  He was booked into jail at 11:50 p.m. Saturday and is being held without bond pending a magistrate hearing.  Barquera is charged with Theft of less than $30,000 worth of Material Aluminum/Bonze/Copper/Brass, a Grand Jury Indictment warrant for Theft of less than $20,000 worth of Material Aluminum/Bronze/Copper/Brass Enhanced If At Trial.

Court documents show Barquera was arrested on August 9, 2022 for selling less than $20,000 worth of copper tubing owned by Lane Weathermart to Concho Iron & Metal that was just stolen from a job site at 33 W. Twohig. The witness told authorities Barquera was a 'regular customer.'

65-year-old Ted Willis Deloria was arrested by San Angelo Lake Police for Failing to Yield the Right Of Way to  an Emergency Vehicle Saturday afternoon.  He is charged with Driving with an Expired License, FTYROW to an Emergency Vehicle, Possession/Delivery of Drug Paraphernalia, CPF x2, FTA, and VPTA.  He was booked into jail at 5:13 p.m. Saturday and his bond is listed at $3,468.00 plus $2,438.00 in fines and court costs.

San Angelo LIVE! makes no assumptions or representations about guilt or innocence of anyone on the booking report. Regardless of the headline, individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Information on the site should not be used to determine any person’s actual criminal record.

The charges listed in this booking report are taken directly from information provided by the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office and Jail.  They are not altered in any way and may or may not be the actual charges filed against the individual.

If the charges appear incorrect in this report, that incorrect information is the fault of the District Attorneys office.

The bond amounts listed on the booking report are initial amounts recorded during the booking process.  Actual bonds are set by magistrate judges, usually Justices of the Peace, within 24 hours of an individual's arrest and are updated on the jail website.
