San Angelo Man Arrested for Breaking Child's Jaw

 

SAN ANGELO— A violent San Angelo man has been arrested for hitting a child in the face and breaking her jaw earlier this week.

According to court documents, on May 8, 2023, a San Angelo police officer spoke with the child victim and the outcry witness and learned that the child had been slapped and punched in the face by Kevin Aldridge on Sunday, May 7, 2023.

On Wednesday, May 10, 2023, investigators spoke with the outcry witness and learned that the child victim was slapped and punched at a residence on the 2700 block of Live Oak Trail. The witness claimed she took the child victim to the emergency room when she did due to the child complaining of jaw pain and a “ringing” in her ears.

At the hospital, the witness learned that the child victim had a fractured jaw and provided documentation from Shannon Medical Center.

A forensic interview was completed with the child victim who stated the Aldridge slapped her with an open hand and punched her in the face with a closed fist causing her pain. A doctor in the Shannon Emergency Room stated that it was her professional opinion that the child victim had a fractured jaw.

Aldridge was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on Thursday, May 11, 2023, and is currently an inmate being held on $30,000 bond.
