San Angelo Man Sentenced for Online Solicitation

SAN ANGELO, TX – A San Angelo man was sentenced to two years probation on Friday after he pleaded guilty to attempting to Solicit a Prostitute in Tom Green County.

According to court documents, on Apr. 21, 2023, Marneco Montezz Pratt, 38, of San Angelo, pleaded guilty to one count of Solicitation of Prostitution. In exchange, Pratt was sentenced to 2-years deferred adjudication probation.

Pratt was originally arrested for the crime back in Oct. 2021. At the time, authorities alleged that Pratt attempted to purchase sex from an online chat room/social media site. He then set a time and place to meet.

Instead of a sex worker, Pratt was met by troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety. This was part of a sting by the DPS. Pratt was not the only one arrested in the sting either. For the original story see: Two San Angelo Men Get Surprise Ending During Hunt for Hookers
