Truck Load of Illegals Crash on Courthouse Lawn

BRADY, TX – A chase with illegal aliens ended badly as the truck full of Honduras hit a tree in from of the McCulloch County Courthouse, nearly killing everyone involved.

According to the Brady Police Department, on Apr. 16, 2023, at around 2:30 a.m., officers with the Brady Police Department spotted a white pickup speeding north on South Bridge St. This street eventually turns into US 87, US 190, and US 377.

The officers tried to pull the driver of the truck over, but instead, the truck tried to get away. The chase went through the middle of town until the driver hit a tree in front of the McCulloch County Courthouse. Luckily the tree was there because the crash occurred only 5 feet from the courthouse's south entrance.

At the time of the crash, the Brady Standard Newspaper reported that seven non-english speaking occupants were taken to the hospital. BPD confirmed that the seven men are believed to be Honduran. Five of the seven were ejected. The driver was not ejected but was trapped in the truck after the engine caught fire.

Deputies from the McCulloch County Sheriff's Office, Brady Police Department, Brady Fire Department, and the Brady EMS quickly arrived at the scene and assisted the individuals. The occupants were transported to the Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital to be treated for their injuries.
