Midland Trinity School Administrators Sexual Assault Coverup Trial Underway

 

MIDLAND, TX – Four Midland Trinity School administrators accused of attempting to coverup an allege sexual assault are on trial in Midland Monday.

According to court documents, on Apr. 17, 2023, jury selection for the trial against Shelby Hammer,  Todd Freese, Chrystal Myers and Adrianne Clifton begins Monday in Midland. The four are being tried for allegedly failing to report child abuse at Midland Trinity School. 

As previously reported, in Feb. 2022, the four were arrested after officers with the Midland Police Department learned that a child under the age of 14 had been sexually assaulted. Later in their investigation police discovered that the four administrators attempted to get the victim's family to sign a covenant not to sue.

The four were indicted in Nov. 2022. Witnesses in the trial will include the police officers and other administrators at the school.
