Drunk San Angelo Man Arrested for Beating and Running Over a Woman

 

SAN ANGELO,TX – A San Angelo Man has been arrested for assaulting a woman and running her over with his vehicle.

On June 29, 2021, San Angelo police responded to the Shannon Emergency Room for a woman who had fractures to her face and her leg.

According to the affidavit, Castanuela and the victim went to Giz and Hums bar, located at 1425 West Beauregard Avenue. The victim wanted to leave but Castanuela did not so she left with a friend.

At the victim’s residence, Castanuela was waiting for her. Castanuela began assaulting her and threw her into a vehicle. He drove around town for a considerable amount of time and continued assaulting her, striking her several times in the face.

At Bell St. and La Follette St., she jumped from the moving vehicle and tried to get out of the road but Castanuela drove over her with the vehicle.

She told the officers that she did not remember much after being run over.

At the intersection, investigators found Castanuela and the vehicle close by. They found blood in the street and also found blood in the passenger seat, on the bumper, and on the undercarriage of the vehicle.

Isaac Castanuela was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on a $350,000 bond.
