Fugitives Wanted for Attempted Murder in Abilene Captured

MARFA, TX –Three Abilene men wanted for attempted murder were apprehended Saturday, April 17, 2021, by Big Bend Sector Border Patrol Agents near Sierra Blanca, Texas.

Early Saturday morning, the United States Marshals Service provided information to the United States Border Patrol on three individuals that might be traveling through Big Bend Sector, whom were wanted by the Abilene Police Department. The occupants sought were: Ezekiel Sepeda, Robert Sepeda Jr., and Roberto Sepeda-Ramirez.

At approximately 9:45 a.m., Border Patrol Agents were assisted by the Hudspeth County Sheriff’s Office in conducting a vehicle traffic stop of a White GMC Yukon. During this encounter, an associated vehicle was also pulled over by Border Patrol Agents and Hudspeth County Sherriff’s Office. All three suspects were apprehended without further incident.

All three suspects were turned over to the Hudspeth County Sherriff’s Office and are currently pending extradition to Abilene, Texas.

“This is another great example of how our established partnerships with local and regional law-enforcement pays dividends,” said Big Bend Sector Chief Patrol Agent Sean McGoffin. “Great communication and expert coordination between agencies removed these subjects from the streets so they can answer to the charges of attempted homicide.”
