SAN ANGELO, TX — The man found dead in his Chevrolet Silverado dually pickup in the parking lot of the Walmart at 5501 Sherwood Way Tuesday afternoon was identified as Gordon Earl Tibbs, Jr., 59, of Prosper, Texas.
San Angelo police and fire department responded to Walmart around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday after citizens reported through dispatch they suspected a dead man was sitting inside the pickup parked in the Walmart parking lot.
Justice of the Peace J.P. McGuire arrived and formally pronounced Tibbs dead due to natural causes, related to ongoing health issues.
Police do not suspect foul play.
